Characteristics of Female feminized seeds

Female Seeds feminized seeds were first developed by the founder of this seed bank, Ferry Elsgina. This seed enthusiast and visionary began experimenting with regular strains during the 90's and the boom of legal growing in Holland.

Thanks to Ferry's visits to Amsterdam and the Positronics headquarters, he was able to get in touch with the breeder culture and start the Female Seeds project, with interesting strains such as Early Mist, Holland Hoop or Ice. This would mark the beginning of the seed bank's stock, which was later joined by feminized Female Seeds.

The name of the company comes precisely from this, from Ferry's paradigm of getting a large warehouse full of feminized specimens. It didn't take long for this seed bank to get it, and thanks to the work of the founder and the bank's collaborating breeders, as well as institutions such as Positronics, Female Seeds achieved great recognition for the quality of its products in just a few years.

One of the most important points in Female Seeds' way of working is the use of ecological techniques to obtain seeds. They do not use chemical or mechanical engineering processes to produce their products. In this way, Ferry and her team sourced additive-free products to produce higher quality organic seeds.

Genetic research is also part of the workflow of breeding Female Seeds feminized strains. In this way, Female Seeds pioneered experimentation with the Ruderalis subgenus of Cannabis in order to provide faster flowering, climate-adapted collector seeds.

Female Seeds was not officially founded until 2003, when Ferry and his team managed to gather the desired number of strains to carry out their project. All Female Seeds strains are perfectly stabilized. Moreover, this seed bank reports that the germination success rate of its products is over 90%.

One of the most outstanding Female Seeds strains is Lemon Kush, a feminized Female Seeds strain that comes from the genetics of a Chitral Kush from the Hindu Kush region and with old school characteristics.
