The Gelato marijuana gentics brings together all the strains that offer the unique characteristics of this plant, well known for its unique taste and aroma, fresh and sweet. To talk about the history of Gelato genetics we have to fly to the U.S., specifically to the Cannabis Golden Triangle in California. There, with the breeding works of genetics as famous as the Girl Scout Cookies ,Thin Mint and the Sunset Sherbert, it was possible to obtain this new genetics. For this reason it is impossible to dissociate Gelato from Sunset Sherbert itself, one of the most famous creations of the Sherbinski breeder.
When he was young and an inexperienced grower, Sherbinski had a small crop in his grandmother's garage where he grew beautiful specimens of Girl Scout Cookies, then very famous almost all over California. During his growing times this breeder once decided to cultivate in the same area some Pink Panties that were given to him. At the moment he was an inexperienced grower who was unable to distinguish the males from the females, so he ended with all his crop pollinated and the result was disastrous.
With all his crop spoiled and a lot of seeds in hand, Sherbinski decides to start trying this new strain and what he got was a surprising result, with touches of red fruits, citrus and orange, which reminded him much of a taste of an ice cream that he had very close to home when he was a child, the Rainbow Sherbert. Since the neighborhood where he was born was called "Sunset" in San Francisco, he decided to put the names together and the result was the Sunset Sherbert. It was created the strain that, with a little genetic selection and a later crossing with one of his ancestors (the Girl Scout Cookies) gave birth to a whole new strains of plants that gained fame in the last years.
The Gelato marijuana strain unites, fundamentally, around its unique and distinctive flavors and aromas. It mainly highlights the aromas of ripe fruit, very sweet and with touches of citrus, orange and forest fruits. It is a true fruit salad in which, at every moment, you will find different aromas to appreciate and a freshness almost impossible to find in other sweet strains.
Within the genetics available in the Gelato cannabis strain we can highlight different plants that are barely distinguish between them at the level of aroma. On one hand we must talk about Blue Gelato 41 from Barney's Farm, a strain that adds the crossing of Blueberry to mark even more intensely the red fruits in the aroma and provide an incredible purple color to a genetics already attractive in itself. Another strain that we have to highlight within this strain is Gelato #33, which comes from the Advanced Seeds bank and offers the aroma that we already know added to a THC level that can reach 25%. This genetics, in addition to photoperiodic version, is also offered in autoflowering.
As it happens in all the families of strains that we present, if there is a strain that you think should be included in this strain of Gelato genetics, we ask you to please tell us and we will value it.
