Cherry Pie feminized seeds by Advanced Seeds

Cherry Pie is the latest adding from the seed bank based in Spain Advanced Seeds. This is a hybrid strain for collection with spectacular genetics. Thus, Advanced Seeds breeders used, on the one hand, a Grandaddy Purple, a variety popular for its purple coloration and fruity aromas of berry and grape. In addition, Advanced Seeds also used a specimen of Durban Poison, a strain originating from the South African port city of Durban, Sativa-dominant and with a spicy aroma with hints of anise and licorice. The result is a variety with very interesting characteristics, which will be presented below. 

What is Cherry Pie like?

Cherry Pie feminized seeds can produce mainly Indica plants, showing characteristics of both canábis subgenres. Advanced's breeders describe this Cherry Pie as a low growing strain indoors and medium to tall growing in outdoor gardening, where it may require advanced techniques such as SOG or SCROG to control its height. 

One of the most remarkable characteristics of this strain is inherited from its parents, and is the ability to generate very striking purple colorations, which will be accentuated with exposure to low temperatures. 

The flowering of Cherry Pie of Advanced Seeds is short, completing this phase of the life cycle of the plants between 55 and 65 days indoors, and towards the last week of summer in the case of outdoor gardens. 

Production of Cherry Pie

The yield of this strain is described in the product sheet as high, and according to the same, it is possible to obtain from 500 to 600 grams per square meter in indoor crops. In the case of outdoors, it is not known the yield capacity that Cherry Pie can have, although we can suspect of even higher yields.

Most common effects

Cherry Pie is capable of generating active cannabinoids such as THC in large proportions. Thus, cannabinoid tests yielded up to 22% THC, while the ability to generate CBD is unknown. On the other hand, balanced effects are intuited in this Cherry Pie, having Sativa-indica genetics, combining more relaxing and stimulating sensations.

Organoleptic properties

The organoleptic properties are described as intense and clearly fruity, something that Cherry Pie inherits directly from its parents. This may mean the presence of terpenes such as geraniol.
