Origin and crossing

Runtz Triploid is based on the legendary Runtz genetics, famous for its candy-fruity profile and its balanced potency. Its great difference is the incorporation of an advanced genetic technique that modifies the chromosomal endowment, creating a triploid plant with three complete sets of chromosomes. This condition generates an almost total sterility, drastically reducing the appearance of seeds even in the presence of pollen, allowing all the energy to be concentrated on flower production.

what is Runtz Triploid like?

It is a photodependent variety with a solid structure and uniform growth, ideal for professional crops. It develops a strong branching capable of supporting dense and very resinous buds. During the flowering period, the flowers get notably fat and are covered with a thick layer of shiny trichomes, offering a spectacular frosty appearance. In some phenotypes, purple shades can appear, increasing its visual attractiveness even more.

Aromatic profile and flavor

The terpene profile of Runtz Triploid is one of its great strengths. Sweet and fruity notes predominate, with clear hints of caramel, ripe fruits and a very characteristic creamy background. After a good drying and curing, the nuances become more complex, offering a rich, modern and refined sensory experience.

Effect

Flowering time and cultivation

Indoors, it completes its flowering in approximately 8-9 weeks, with yields of up to 550-600 g/m². Outdoors, in temperate and Mediterranean climates, it can easily exceed 700 g per plant, reaching heights of 2 to 2.3 m. Its triploid sterility is a huge advantage against pollen contamination, providing stability and tranquility in outdoor crops.
