This creation starts from the original Sweet Pink Grapefruit mother, selected in Vancouver between 1994 and 1995, a genetics that has shone in gardens around the world and that is found in the family tree of countless modern varieties of great fruit profile. In this mix, its heritage is passed on through Spritzer, a hybrid with SPG genetics in its lineage, used as a pollinator.

Growing Characteristics

Sweet Pink Grapefruit plants have been selected prioritizing quality over quantity. They are mainly intended for indoor growing, where they show a stable behavior and a fast flowering of 8 to 9 weeks. Outdoors, they also offer very interesting results, especially in dry climates and at latitudes between 30º and 45º.

In latitudes close to 45º North, the harvest is usually ready at the beginning of October, getting progressively earlier the lower the latitude.

Aroma and organoleptic profile

The influence of Sweet Pink Grapefruit translates into a marked sweet and fruity character, with citric and fresh nuances reminiscent of pink grapefruit, combined with the complex, creamy and modern profiles of the current Californian genetics.
