Origin and genetics

It is a pure Moroccan sativa of 2nd generation, preserved thanks to the joint work with traditional growers of the north of Morocco, in front of the real threat of disappearance by the genetic contamination of modern foreign varieties.

For decades, this genetics has been cultivated for the production of kif and hashish by means of traditional techniques of drying and manual beating, giving rise to resins of soft, mellow and deeply psychoactive character.

Structure and cultivation

Morocco Beldia is one of the fastest sativas of the planet, thanks to its marked semi autoflowering character. Traditionally sown in spring, it starts flowering in June and can be harvested as early as August.

It develops small to medium sized plants. In the initial phase it presents somewhat wider leaves, evolving later towards a pure sativa morphology with spiky flowers. Two main phenotypes are observed: one more columnar and tall, and another lower and branched.

It is perfectly adapted to hot and dry climates, showing an outstanding resistance to heat, drought and low nutritional intake. It performs excellently with little care, making it an ideal choice for guerrilla cultivation or large extensions with limited resources.

Aroma and flavor

Its terpenes are smooth and classic, with honeyed, herbal and golden notes, reminiscent of traditional Moroccan hashish. After curing, it offers the unmistakable aromatic profile that made Moroccan blond pollen a world reference during the 20th century.

Effects

The effect is clean and functional sativa, of moderate potency but clearly psychoactive. It produces a soft, sociable and pleasant stimulation, very different from the heaviest modern genetics. Ideal for daytime, outdoor activities and traditional consumption.
